Blog Post Ideas: The Masterlist

By this point, if you own a business, and you want to make money, rather, you want to make a profit, you understand that you need a website.

Simple, right?

Godaddy -> WordPress -> Free Theme -> Botta Bing Botta Boom All my customers are giving me their wallets!

Not quite.

If you want any type of positive return on your online efforts, remember this simple equation:

Context + Content = Quality Website Traffic

Context: If you sell used cars, write about USED CARS, how to get your credit score up, how to increase sales, etc
Content: If you sell used cars, WRITE about used cars, how to get your credit score up, how to increase sales, etc

See what I did there?

You need to add content to your website, fairly regularly (at least once a week), and you need to make sure that it’s something that makes sense based on what you’re selling!  Don’t give gardening advice on your Chiropractic Care website.  Unless it’s for healthy eating… then by all means 😉

Anyways!  I know that coming up with fresh content can be tough.  Here are several resources that can help you get ‘unstuck’ when it comes to keeping your website fresh with relevant content, and help you keep climbing the search engines, ultimately, building a raving fanbase of loyal clients.

  4. 160 Blog Post Ideas!

Blogging is hard, and sometimes it’s really hard. Coming up with post topics can happen in a split second, or it can be like pulling teeth. SO, we bloggers have to stick together! Mariah writes down a blog idea every time it pops into her head…so here’s everything she has come up with so far! Well everything she hasn’t written about so far!

Ok… so I realize this list is only 4 items.  It’s short.

I will keep adding to it as I check out more quality content.  I don’t want to hold anything back!

Do yourself a favor: dive into each article.

Seriously… #1 is ridiculously thorough.  That post alone is the reason I decided just to curate rather than write my own list.

No need to reinvent the wheel! Just keep using what works!

In the meantime, God Bless Ya,

Why you are killing your income by coaching One-on-One

Why you're killing your income by coaching one on one

What if there were a way you could drastically LIMIT your income, while practically ensuring that the clients you have get LOUSY results?

AND what if you could also make sure that you NEVER have the freedom to pursue your dreams?

Would you do it? Of course not. Neither would I.

But if you’re seeing clients one-on-one in your coaching or professional services business, this is EXACTLY what you’re doing.

Let’s take a look at why one-on-one coaching is just about the worst thing you can do for your clients, yourself, and your business.

We’ll start with the impact on your income first.

How One-on-One Coaching Kills Your Income

The math is overwhelmingly simple: there are only so many hours in the day.

That simple, stark, brutal fact means that one-on-one coaching automatically puts a cap on your earning potential.

Mike was a brilliant coach. He had close to 100 clients paying $150 an hour. He was in a position most coaches would kill to be in: he was booked solid.

But let’s do some simple math:

40 clients per week x $150 per hour = $6,000 per week in income, or $24,000/month.

This sounds like a lot, but remember: that’s working 40 hours per week, rain or shine.

When Mike came to see me, his client load was KILLING his quality of life.

He was afraid to travel, terrified of taking vacations, and on the verge of burnout.

The worst part? If he needed to miss work for ANY reason, he lost out on that income.

For Mike, freedom didn’t exist.

Creating Real Leverage

As Mike started working with us, he quickly realized that about 80% of his clients had the SAME basic set of issues.

“The best work I do is in the area of men network marketers,” Mike said. “I work with male entrepreneurs trying to balance building a company with being a great husband and dad.”

Since 80% of Mike’s clients had the same basic challenge, that meant that Mike ended up teaching the same solutions over and over to each client – a total misuse of time.

This left him tired, drained, and with no way to punch through the $24k/month ceiling he’d created for himself.

When Mike joined us, we went right to work helping him package his knowledge into an 8-week Men’s Empowerment workshop, which he priced at $5,000.

The same concepts that Mike used to cover one-on-one are now taught via pre-recorded video trainings. If clients have questions, or need support, Mike does one Q&A session every week with all of his clients in a secret Facebook group.

This sets Mike free to focus on actually getting results for clients, rather than having to teach and re-teach the basics ad nauseum.

By incorporating group training, Mike’s total time spent working in his business has dropped from 40 hours per week to less than 10.

And now, Mike’s income is no longer linked to her time:

  • If he enrolls 5 clients per month into his new program, that’s $25,000…
  • If he brings in 10, that’s $50,000…
  • And if he snags 20, that’s $100,000.

Mike now has real leverage in his business. His income is no longer based on how many hours he’s working. Now, he gets paid based on the VALUE he delivers for his clients.

Not only that, but because this workshop is delivered online, Mike can work with clients from anywhere in the world.

He left his office, and moved to a beautiful place in Clearwater, right on the water.

All he needs to work with clients is a laptop and an internet connection.

A Results-Getting Machine

All right, but what ABOUT those clients? Are they really getting BETTER results now than they were when he was seeing them one-on-one?

YES, for several reasons:

First of all, Mike’s clients now get the BEST coach possible. Because he’s no longer working 40 hours a week, he’s not showing up exhausted and overwhelmed. He’s rested, focused, and ready to work.

Second, the pre-recorded trainings allow clients to learn at their own pace. They can watch and re-watch the training materials to make sure they fully understand every concept and idea, rather than having to rely on notes or struggle to remember what was said in Mike’s office.

Third, clients get faster results working in GROUPS. Group learning allows Mike to place clients into accountability partnerships and small workgroups to achieve better mastery of the course material. They can support one another, quiz each other, and celebrate victories together.

Instead of having a loose collection of individuals, Mike’s workshop now functions like a true family.

The Bottom Line

As with everything else, conventional wisdom is a recipe for staying conventional.

  • The earnings cap on your income disappears…
  • You instantly create the freedom to work from anywhere in the world…
  • You have total control over where, and how, you spend your time…

And best of all, you can do ALL of this while you watch your clients enjoy better results than ever before.

If you want to make the transition from working one-on-one to high-ticket group coaching, we have a FREE video training that walks you through EXACTLY how it’s done. Click here to learn more.

How to make an extra $5k This Week

How you can make $5k by the end of the week

The first thing we do with a new client is an immediate push to create $5,000 in sales in the first few days. Here’s how…

1. Survey your list. Send your audience a link to a survey with ONE question: “What is the worst problem you have right now?”

Give them 4-5 choices, along with a blank spot to write their own. You can create the survey using SurveyGizmo. Don’t have a list? Send a poll to your Facebook friends.

Don’t have Facebook friends? Browse around on Facebook for Groups that your target market would join. Join them. Browse around for Pages that your target market would Like. Like them.

Take a look at the other people who Like those Pages and belong to those Groups. Then start sending friend requests to those people. Then post the survey link to your public timeline.

2. Compile the responses. Wait 24 hours. Let the responses pile up. See what the #1 problem is.

3. Craft an elegant solution. Map out a solution to this problem. When I do this, I like to draw a map from Point A (where they are) to Point B (where they desperately want to be). Then take that map and break it up into Milestones. Here’s a simple way of doing it:

4. Create an offer that solves the problem. This can be a done-for-you solution, a live workshop…anything, really.

Avoid one-on-one mentoring. Stick to offering done-for-you services and GROUP workshops. Leverage your time intelligently. That’s what enables you to scale. Reach out for a call with us for more info on exactly how to structure your offer.

5. Give it a price based on the VALUE of achieving the result. What is it worth to your audience to have this problem solved? That is the price of your new offer.

Hint: Do not undervalue your services. It should be in the thousands somewhere. I don’t care what anyone else is charging. Position yourself from the get-go as the Rolls Royce of your industry.

I could teach an entire course on why discounting or competing on price is the fastest way to kill your business. Just trust me.

6. Use Results-in-Advance Marketing to roll this offer out. Create a short video, webinar, or article that solves part of the problem for your audience for free. Then tell them you’ll be solving the REST of the problem live on your workshop.

7. Leverage scarcity in a big way. Set a rock-solid 24-48 hour deadline, and a maximum number of people you will allow into the course. Send out continual reminders as the clock counts down.

8. Make a Hotlist. While the online process is happening, make a list of everyone you know on Facebook or in real life who has this problem and needs your help. Reach out to ALL of them individually.

Say something like, “Hey Joe, I know last time I talked to you, you were trying to achieve (desired result)…is that something you’re still having trouble with?” Open up the discussion about what’s not working in their business, and offer them your workshop. This is scary, but necessary.

If you put this plan in motion today, you will be wealthier at the end of this week than you are right now.

If you need additional help putting this together, just reach out.
